Homework for Chapter 3
This is a group assignment, but your groups should be no larger than 4 people (and no smaller than 2).
Recall the civil war problem from Chapter 2 (our first group problem) where we are focusing on the losing side, post-war. Use the Aggregate Production function model from Chapter 3 to determine the following:
- How will post-war GDP compare to pre-war GDP?
- How will post-war wages and rents compare to pre-war?
- What will happen to the distribution of national income between labor & capital?
- How will post-war standard of living compare to pre-war?
Remember: your conclusions must be based on the model(s) from Chapter 3. Please explain your reasoning in detail, and show graphically wherever possible.
Please bring your homework to class on Wednesday, printed and double-spaced.

I discovered that our book is very expensive. Johnathan Blake let me know that it is substantially cheaper if you order it from Amazon.com . While that will take a few days to obtain, it’s okay with me if you want to go that route.
